Brothers and Sisters,

I'm at a loss for words,......What is it going to take to make you stand up and be heard ?  After working thirty years in the sweat shops of GM,......being robots for their profits for CEO's and management haven't you had enough ?  I've been grateful to have had employment with GM since I left the Military /USMC , after 6 years,..... back in 75. I've bought homes, cars and raised A FAMILY. Yes,....you might say,....I've been lucky.

I haven't ! After working, coming in every day, never calling in fake sick,.....never faking injuries or lying to get out of work,....giving up birthday celebrations, dance recitals,....youth football practices and games,....I went to work and did what they ask me do ! I didn't complain ! Once in a great while,....but,.. I fought for our values,....not  just mine.

Although, UAW elections were based on popularity contest,....who provides the biggest and free beer blast and candy bars or free shirts, I always voted my heart. For those that really  wanted change . Much like government elections,.......those elected were not the ones I voted for. The winners were just that ! People who liked to go on trips,......talk and not work ! Sorry if I offend any former elected leaders, but I'm speaking from my heart, not my wallet.

I'm amazed at the quality of people, [former union colleagues] that visit this site for entertainment. This site is for you to speak out,.....get involved and  get thirty years of grit off your chest. One doesn't do it by being weak. We stand together ! As one. I was born with family. When I became a member of the UAW,....I thought we were family. We worked together, took breaks, voted together, attended one anothers family gatherings, weddings, graduations and funerals. We were Family.    Funny thing is, as I  talk to Jack,  Lillian [cleo] and others, after retirement you think you got a divorce from everyone. You pick up your check every month, pay your bills,....mow your lawn, talk to your family and everthing's great in Retirement land.

Well, my friends,.....it's not. I'm your brother , as is Jack and Cleo, remains a sister. We are united, through thirty years of toiling for GM and Delphi. We have been abandoned ,.....by family,.....yes you ! You choose not to stand with us, because you stand alone with your pensions you've earned. ME, Me, MINE, MINE !!

Lillian [Cleo] remains committed to the cause. If I stood in your shoes,....I would back your concerns 1,000 %,....because that is what Family does. Leave us into the cold ! To each his/her own !  I will say, what goes around comes around. When you see me on the Merry-go -round of Life,.....when the structure is falling apart , I'll still be their to save you,.... because after all We are still brothers and sisters or as they say in the union world,............FAMILY.

The question remains,.....Will you help save us ?
