Dear UAW Delphi Brothers and Sisters,

First off,....I'd like to thank my friends Jack, Cleo and a few others for the many comments you've made on these boards. To those that just like to read and then do nothing to stand up for yourself,.....well you'll get exactly what you deserve in the end. Why do I say this ? Because, it is people like you that do not possess anywhere near what we Americans call backbone's, that we Fail to get what we are entitled to.

On the first day I found this site, I called Jack, who has done everything but provide you,...... with the kitchen sink, every bit and bite of information, and more some.  Yes, this man stays up nights, weekends and finds information to allow you to make a decision on your future. It's been a pleasure to know Jack and wish most of you could or at least make an effort to contact him. He's a fighter !

I've been fighting battles my entire life. I've saved nerighborhoods from falling in disrepair, went after sex offenders and furthermore, kept working to author legislation in NYS to protect everyone against these predators. I've inspired hundreds of people to join the movement and today, our City is slowly turning around. We've lobbied, written legislation, fought slumlords, welfare cheats, and yes, the politicans.

Yes, never once did I do it alone. It takes people standing with one another shoulder to shoulder. We've assembled petetions  [ 100,000 signatures to pass Megan's Law, 23,000 to prevent the layoff og our firefighters and police officers] found grants and served on committess to rebuild our community [ Received Weed and Seed grant of 1.1 million,...1.5 million for dissater prepardendness, over 2 million in Operation Impact /Law Inforcement grants,....etc. etc.

I could go on and on . We did it as a Team.  Today, Jack, I and a few others stand naked in front of you.  Why do I say this ? Because  "The emperor has no clothes" >

Why ? We have no one standing with us today.

I'll continue my fight for what I have coming.  Today, I have to go it alone without you. I'll get mine somehow. But, the question remains, will you get yours ?

This used to be about solidarity!

Most of you have already decided,.....Why take a stand?   Well, my brothers and sisters,......The answer is  you don't want to make the effort. In communities throughout the US where I've visited and lectured those communities and neighborhoods are now destroyed. Why,... because they failed to act ! It's that simple. It's easy to move away and stay silent. It's much harder to take a stand !

You've all moved on since your retirements. Since you've lost  health care, dental and vision. Some have lost more > Actual dollars in their checks !

So, my friends,......... sit and watch  "American Idol", "Dancing with the Stars" and worry if Brad is leaving his wife and kids.  Waste your retirement years  sitting and waiting to win the Lotto. I don't have that time. My time is fighting to help others.
My time is spent connecting the dots to win the battle and challenges that are before us. Today,....It's those that lie before me !

I'm disappointed that so many autoworkers who've shared a lifetime with friends on the line many times with them more than actual family,.....would decide to abandon them and each other in their times of need. Doesn't we as Americans mean something ? Doesn't Kennedy's old statement have meaning ?  "It not what  your Country can do for you , it's what you can do for your Country".  Doesn't this inspire goosebumps on your arms.

Today, I guess not ! "Every man for himself ".  Well,my friends,..... you have spoken. Thanks for nothing and moreso,........ Thanks for the lesson learned. To each his own.  Today, I move on and forget about most of you. You've already demonstrated you care not for others,....are too afraid to stand and speak out !

Goodbye, and have a good life.

Jack,  Please don't let Roger leave this site.

I feel his disappointment and frustration, with these people on here, that are NOT responding to anything that he and you have been saying.

I agree with you two gents and thought, that we would all go to DC, to fight for justice.  I am amazed, at the lack of response, from everyone on here.

I for one, appreciate everything you two stand for and your efforts to make a right, out of wrong.

Now...I want to ask.......WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?Huh?? Angry

Brother Spurback You almost left Me Speechless.

I know how You feel as I feel the same.

The Iue-Cwa and Salaried are waging war to keep their Pensions and Benefits while our Uaw members seem to think this is a joke.

These are the same people that never went to Union meetings, contract votes, Union Official Elections. But yet whined about everything. And I'm sure they will be whining long after this is settled. Angry Angry Angry

I feel your disapointment brothers and sisters

I think the corporation did exactly what they had planned with the spin-offs
lower wages, and benefits, plus use the divide and conquer theory to create alot of friction between members, etc. (not to mention the B.S. that some of management and their puppets told on the shop floors.)
all while they had the blessing of greedstreet and corporate run government.

believe me when I tell you the tide will turn

(people remember the squeaking wheel gets the grease)
START SQUEAKING!!!!!!

kick the dog enough your going to get bit
LET THE BITING BEGIN!!!!! Angry

My freinds Cleo ,

You are and will remian a friend in my heart of hearts ! It is from speakers like you, that I draw inspiration to do the things we need to do. !
I ask you,....and others reading this WEB  page Huh? Are your brothers and sisters, who've shared the lines with you and me and Jack behind us. They are considered in my terminology, nothing but ball-less workers, spineless and more. Yes you, if you're reading this and standing fast behind your computer.

They care not about you ! They care about themselves ! What they get at the end of day. Much like, when they were working. They were the ones that wanted and fought for more overtime , not for their brothers, but for themselves ! They are spineless !!

They cared about the Sunday's and Holiday time /  triple time ot, not about you and me, or...... us. They are the beings in the workforce that cut your throat everytime they had the chance. They are the ones that never attended union meetings, but knew everything what was said ! They are the ones that turned you in to management to taking one minute tooo long on breaks.  The ones that never speak up, but continue to be the slackers of the past !  They sit at home and rely on their Union officals. Then same boys of the good old boys network....that cut their  throats.  They are the reason we are where we are today ? Why. because they sat back,,,......and believed  the UAW will make it right.  They depend upon everyone else, ......not theirselves.

I fought many years for strikes ! Why, because it's what you do to get what you want> These punks in the union, and I'll call them that because they never lived through a strike don't know !!!  They know about today, not about struggle , real struggle.

Like many others, they choose to become silent and faceless. Well, my friends thats they choose. They're spineless and brainless and that's all I have to say.

Solidarity used to be a word with meaning. Today,..................it's meaningless !

Love you,
Solidarity my friend,
Roger Spurback

and I'm not afraid to say my name much like many of my former brothers and sisters.
Cause they renain spineless and heartless !
